Some of the very best views of Denver and the Rocky Mountains exist in the high-rise condos around the city. The Four Seasons Residences on 14th Street is home to the highest house in Denver with Spire coming in second on the list.
The Denver Post spoke with a couple living on the 41st floor of Spire to learn more about what makes high-rise living in Denver different from a regular home or condo.
To start, curtains are a little unnecessary when you are that high off the ground. You must also use an elevator and are limited to that space when it comes to furnishing your condo. However, it only takes about 15 seconds for your to climb more than 400 feet to the 41st floor of Spire, which is probably more convenient than other condos in the Denver area.
Ten years ago, a mere 8,000 people lived in Downtown Denver. Since then, 5,000 more people have moved into the city, a 60 percent increase. The trend only looks to continue as citizens look to take advantage of unbeatable views, terrific nightlife, and great prices.
